Where did all the money go ?

The Government has slashed its Budget surplus forecast for 2008/09 to $5.4 billion, from $21.7 billion in the May Budget.
Can you believe that the Labor actually slash the budget surplas by 75% ? They are in the government for less then a year and that is how they manage public’s money ? They would definately be blaming on the economy for having the needs to to slash the budget. But if you do read the news on how the government is giving out the money like santa clause, you would have realise why the budget is slash by 75%. GDP growth, umemployment rate and inflation is beyond the government control. That is something that i understand and I have accepted. But for god sake what has been pass down by the previous term government, they should have use it wisely. True enough that Australia is not immune to the global financial crisis. But if the government is still spending OUR money unwisely, it is just a matter of time we are being exposed to the global financial crisis.
